A delightful gentleman approached us with a request for our expertise.
He was retiring from an academic post (lots of books) and moving from a five bedroomed house into a two bedroomed apartment in a retirement village.
The challenge for Stan was to incorporate a small study area into a bedroom, to accommodate his collection of books in the lounge
and to add extra storage in every possible available space in the apartment.
Irene was also commissioned and after talking to Mr and Mrs P about their vision for the new apartment, set about advising which pieces of their vast collection of furniture would fit their new home. We re-covered two wing back chairs and a footstall in a lovely linen from Design Forum, chose blinds and curtains to compliment the whole scheme along with cushions and new headboards in beautiful fabrics from Ian Sanderson and Jim Dickens.
“Thank you for the care and personal attention you have given to designing the bespoke furniture for our new apartment.
We greatly appreciate all the support that Irene and yourself have given us.” Mr and Mrs P.
